Fees

International students must enrol on a full-time 26 hrs per week basis.  The course fees schedule for international and domestic students is $20,000 per year.

The payment of all fees and charges is receipted and dated at the time of payment.  Accurate records of individual students' full or part payment of fees are maintained and secured with the administration department.

roadThe balance of the full two-year course fees are payable per semester or by lump sum prior to commencement.

International students need to note that any school aged dependants accompanying them to Australia will be required to pay full fees if they are enrolled in either a government or non-government school.

Additional Costs

A security deposit of $300 is required from all students to cover any loss or damage to equipment. This security deposit covers the student access card, DVD hire and minor equipment hire. The deposit amount will be refunded to the student at the end of the course when the card has been returned to the administrative office and there are no outstanding loans.

Minor additional costs may be required to complete film projects associated with the curriculum.

Fees Refund Policy

All Deposits are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances.
No refund will be given upon commencement of the term, except under exceptional circumstances.

If The International Film School Sydney cancels any training session students are entitled to transfer to replacement training sessions at our school.

If students are not granted a Student Visa then all fees will be refunded.  Students will need to provide evidence from the relevant Australian Government Department that the Visa was refused.

If a student wishes to withdraw prior to commencement of term, they are entitled to a refund less their deposit fee.

These costs will be documented.

No refund will be given upon commencement of the term.

No refund will be granted to a student whose enrolment is terminated for failure to comply with The International Film School Sydney's policies and procedures and the requirements of their visa by DIMIA.

After course commencement if students withdraw from the course for whatever reason they will not be entitled to any refund.  Every effort will be made to negotiate the transfer of training in the event of a prolonged illness or personal hardship with the approval of DIMIA.

Requests for refund should be made in writing to the Head of School with documented evidence of the reason for withdrawal.  Eligible refunds will be made within 4 weeks after receipt of the claim. Eligible refunds will be pro rata (based on how much of the course has been completed).

If The International Film School Sydney defaults, we will make every effort to transfer the students' enrolment to another school.  If this is unsuitable the school will pay a refund for the uncompleted training on a pro-rata basis.  This refund will be paid to students within 2 weeks of the default day with a statement explaining how the refund amount has been calculated.

This fees refund policy does not remove students' rights to take further action under the Australian Consumer Protection laws.

Staff are responsible for referring all enquiries regarding fees, charges and refunds to the Head of School.
