Editing and Digital Post-ProductionInterviewing now for 2009 intake
In the digital age, post-production is a more complex, diverse and intensely creative process than it has ever been. The IFSS Editing and Digital Post-Production course enables a comprehensive engagement with the full diversity of post-production process. Utilising a diverse range of software systems the Editing and Digital Post-Production course empowers filmmakers to embrace a tightly integrated approach to movie-making that engages with range of possibilities in the digital age. Course structure All courses at IFSS run over a two-year period and are comprised of four semesters known as Tiers. The Specialisation streams (Editing and Post Production, Cinematography and Sound) run in conjunction with the core Advanced Diploma of Screen. Specialisation students study two days per week of their core studies, which cover Screenwriting, Directing and Producing, and three days per week studying their particular specialisation with dedicated tutors and mentors. Editing and Post-Production students are required to complete various practical and conceptual projects that explore cinematic thinking and process. These projects may be extensions of the core Screenwriting, Directing and Producing course, or they may be specific to the Editing course. Editing and Post-Production students will perform dedicated roles of IFSS film productions. They work as post-production coordinators for Tier 2 projects from the core course and as recruited editors for senior student major projects.
