The 19th November saw another sucessful IFSS Open Day. Jonathan Wald conducted one of his famous tours around the facilities, Head of School, Duncan Thompson, presented as well as the screening of the best films produced during the year.

The 2011 Student Film Screening celebrated the achievments of IFSS students by projecting their films onto the big screen. The event showcased the talent emerging from the school to industry experts, family, friends and prospective students. Films on the night ranged from sci-fi to Christmas comedy.

The NAFA Showfest event was held at the Ritz Cinema in Randwick on Monday 16th August. IFSS was a proud sponsor of the Audience Choice Award - Luke Doolan (writer, director, editor) who made "Miracle Fish" was the winner.

The International Film School Sydney was proud to exhibit at the Sydney Careers Expo at Randwick Racecourse on 4th - 6th June 2010. This event was attended by over 15,000 visitors looking at future training and career options.

The IFSS Open Day on Saturday 29th May was a fantastic event for all prospective new students. Our Head of School, Duncan Thompson, presented several short speeches throughout the day, while our current students screened their work as others provided short guided tours around the facilities.

IFSS has been the exclusive film school partner for the Tropfest festival for the last three years. IFSS sponsored the Bright Sparks award for 2010. Offering a full 2 year scholarship as first prize. Congratulations to Dimitrious Pouliotis, winner of the Bright Spark Award in 2010.
